ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – PSG

PSG is a top financial services group, providing services such as financial planning, investments, unit trusts, stockbroking, life insurance, healthcare, estate and trust services, personal and commercial short term insurance. The company has been operating since 1998, and currently has more than 250 offices throughout South Africa, as well as a presence in Namibia.

The companies services are split into 3 major categories: “PSG Insure” for commercial and personal short-term insurance; “PSG Wealth” for individual, family and business wealth management services; and “PSG Asset Management” for global funds, segregated portfolios and local unit trusts for individuals and institutions.
 

ABOUT THE PSG BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

PSG is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2024 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for studies within the following fields (at final year/ Honours/ Masters level):

  • Actuarial Science (BSc)
  • Computer Engineering (BSc)
  • Computer Science (BSc)
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BEng)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PSG BURSARY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must be studying towards one of the degree qualifications listed above
  • You must be an Honours or Masters student (or a final year student if studying Engineering)
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65%
  • You must be interested in pursuing a career in the financial services sector
  • You must be ambitious
  • You must be able to work well under pressure
  • You must be resilient
  • You must be energetic
  • You must be solution oriented
  • You must be able to work well in a team
  • You must pay close attention to detail
  • Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply
  • Preference will be given to students from designated groups
