Momentum Learnership: Short-Term Insurance 2026/ 2027 (Sandton & Centurion)

 

ABOUT THE MOMENTUM LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME

Momentum Insure, partnered with INSETA (Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority), is inviting young South Africans to apply for their Short-Term Insurance Learnership programmes. Applications are open until 4 March 2026.

The programme will commence from 26 March 2026 to 31 March 2027. During the programme, learners will have the opportunity to develop practical skills and gain short-term insurance specific experience. After completion of the programme, successful graduates will receive a FETC: Short-Term Insurance, NQF level 4 qualification.

Learners will receive a fixed monthly stipend.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LEARNERSHIP PROVIDER

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be between 18 and 25 years (including turning 25 in 2025)
  • You must have completed Matric, with a minimum result of 50% for English (Mathematics will also be beneficial)
  • You must be able to complete the programme at Momentum offices in Sandton or Centurion
  • You must be fluent in English (be able to speak, read and write English)
  • You must be computer literate
  • You must be currently unemployed and/or have no work experience
  • You must NOT be currently studying at any other institution or hold any post-Matric qualifications
  • You must NOT be currently registered for any other learnership
  • You must have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Short-term Insurance and a passion for learning
  • You must have a clear criminal and credit record
  • You must have a strong willingness to learn and commitment to completing the learnership
  • You must be determined to succeed with a positive attitude
  • You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sound judgment
  • You must have good organisational and self-management skills
  • You must have problem-solving ability and initiative
  • You must have a service-driven approach
  • You must pay close attention to detail and be results orientated
  • You must have a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Learners with disabilities are encouraged and welcomed to apply
