Bursaries will be awarded for studies within the Mechanical Engineering field.

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE AFRIMAT BURSARY?
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed Matric
- You must be studying towards a National Diploma, BTech or Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- You must be registered and studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa (University, Higher Education Institution / TVET College)
- You must have a strong academic record
- You must be passionate about mechanical engineering
- You must be ready to build the future of industry and innovation in South Africa
- You must be willing to partake in vocational work and travel to site during university holidays
- You must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness

WHAT DOES AFRIMAT DO?
Afrimat Limited is a mining company and provider of construction materials and industrial minerals to the construction, infrastructure, building and civil markets in South Africa (particularly in Gauteng, the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, the Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, the Free State and Limpopo) and Mozambique. The company has 5 main divisions, namely: Readymix, Contracting International, Concrete Products, Mining & Aggregates and Industrial Minerals.
The group service projects of various scales – from small-scale private sector contracts, to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects for parastatals and state-owned enterprises.
