WHAT FIELDS OF STUDY DOES THE ENEL BURSARY PROGRAMME COVER?

Enel Green Power is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2027 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded to students residing within areas around the company’s operations, in the Eastern Cape, Free State, Limpopo, Northern Cape and Western Cape (listed below).

The bursary will cover studies in ANY field (including Technical and Vocational Education and Training programmes, National Diplomas and Degree programmes).

WHAT EXPENSES DOES THE ENEL BURSARY COVER?

The bursary may provide cover for the following expenses (the total value will be determined on an individual basis): tuition fees, registration fees, examination fees, accommodation in an institution residence or equivalent, meals and learning materials (textbooks, stationary, etc.)

Candidates will be selected based on the following main criteria: academic excellence and financial need.

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE ENEL BURSARY?

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must reside within 50km of an Enel Site, as listed above (view Enel’s wind and solar plants here)
  • You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
  • You must be studying or intend on studying towards a Diploma/ Degree or NQF Level 4 Technical and Vocational programme, in ANY field
  • You must be studying or intend on studying at a recognised and accredited public institution in South Africa (University, University of Technology and TVET College)
  • You must a strong academic record
  • You must have proven financial need and be able to demonstrate lack of sufficient financial resources

WHAT DOCUMENTS MUST I SUBMIT FOR THE ENEL BURSARY?

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your online application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate and/or most recent results (for FTC or TVET)
  • Proof of tertiary acceptance
  • Proof of residence
  • Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed/ affidavit if unemployed/ proof of pension or social grant if applicable)
