WHAT DOES THE SEDISA TRUST DO?
SEDISA is a Black woman-owned education trust and a shareholder of KAEFER Thermal Contracting Services (Pty) Ltd, which was established in 2010. The Trust was founded to support the educational advancement of young Black South African women by providing bursaries for tertiary studies.
Its bursary programme focuses on academically capable students who have the potential to succeed but may not have the financial resources needed to pursue higher education. Through this support, SEDISA aims to remove financial barriers and give young women the opportunity to build brighter futures through education.
Beyond financial assistance, the Trust seeks to encourage determination, ambition and a commitment to personal growth. Its mission is to inspire students to make the most of their educational opportunities, pursue their goals with confidence and remain resilient in the face of challenges.
Since launching its bursary initiatives in 2012, SEDISA has supported more than 30 students with tertiary education funding. The organisation has also set its sights on expanding its impact, with a long-term goal of providing at least 40 bursaries each year to deserving students.
