ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LEARNERSHIP

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must have completed Matric/ Grade 12 and have achieved a minimum “E” symbol for Mathematics (not literacy) and Science and two N2 trade related subjects
  • OR
  • You must have completed an N2 with relevant 4 trade related subjects
  • Fitter learnership applicants: you must have completed trade theory in: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, Fitting & Machining Theory
  • Boilermaker learnership applicants: you must have completed trade theory in: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating and Structural Steel Drawing, Plater Trade Theory
  • You must have a minimum “E” symbol (40%)
  • You must be willing and able to undergo a psychometric assessment
  • You must be willing and able to work shifts, be on standby and attend to call outs when required
  • You must be able to cope under pressure
  • You must be innovative and a self-starter
  • You must be able to identify faults without supervision
  • You must have a valid K53 driver’s license
  • You must have or be able to obtain a certificate of fitness
  • You must have a clear criminal record
  • Advantageous: have experience in the Mining Sector
  • Advantageous: live local to Seriti
