WHAT DOES DUBE TRADEPORT DO?
Dube TradePort Corporation was established in 2003 as a public entity owned by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government. The organisation is responsible for the development and management of the Dube TradePort, a strategically located economic and logistics hub near King Shaka International Airport in KwaZulu-Natal.
At the centre of the development is the Dube TradePort Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which was created to attract local and international investment, encourage trade and support the growth of key industries. The precinct brings together facilities for manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, agriculture, aviation-related activities and commercial development, providing businesses with access to modern infrastructure and transport connections.
Dube TradePort also plays an important role in promoting economic development in KwaZulu-Natal by supporting businesses, attracting investment and creating opportunities for employment and skills development. Its location provides direct access to air, road, rail and sea freight networks, helping businesses connect with markets across South Africa, the African continent and international destinations.
Through the continued development of the Special Economic Zone and its associated infrastructure, Dube TradePort Corporation aims to strengthen KwaZulu-Natal’s position as a competitive business, trade and logistics destination while contributing to long-term economic growth in the province.
