ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – YOUTHED & CTU

YouthED is a non-profit organisation, established in 2022, with the aim of securing funds and enabling prospective learners to attain essential skills and/or academic qualifications.

CTU Training Solutions is a Private College, registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training. The institution opened its doors in 1987, and has since offered various qualifications in IT, Design, Business/ Management, Engineering and Humanities faculties. Students have the option to study full time or part time, at CTU’s 11 campuses in Bloemfontein, Boksburg, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, Polokwane, Potchefstroom, Pretoria, Roodepoort, Stellenbosch and Vereeniging.
 

ABOUT THE YOUTHED CTU BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

YouthED, partnered with CTU Training Solutions, is inviting students to apply for the bursary programme, for the 2023 academic year.

YouthED and CTU Training Solutions will award bursaries for IT Faculty studies at CTU, including the following qualifications:

300 partial bursaries will be awarded – 100 for each of the above courses.

The bursary will provide partial cover for tuition fees, up to R20 000.

All applications will be screened and successful candidates will be contacted by CTU.

Terms and conditions of the bursary:

  • Bursary awards cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • The bursary does NOT cover any additional expenses (accommodation, international exams/ certifications, registration fees, administration fees, devices for online learning, vendor membership/ registration fees and software).
  • Students must have their own devices.
  • Bursary applicants must follow the normal application and registration procedure.
  • Candidates may only apply for one bursary.
  • Bursary recipients must attend classes regularly – less than 80% class attendance will result in the bursary being forfeited.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE YOUTHED CTU BURSARY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be interested in studying towards one of the qualifications listed above, at CTU
  • You must be able to start studying in February 2023
  • You must be entering your 1st year of full time studies
  • You must meet the minimum admission requirements of your selected course (view the CTU prospectus for more information)

Applicants must follow these steps to apply:

1. Complete the CTU online application

2. Complete the YouthEd/ CTU Bursary application and motivation

3. Email your supporting documents to info@youthed.org.za
(Insert the words “YouthEd/ CTU Bursary Application” in the email subject line).

Enter “www.zabursaries.co.za” in the field asking how you heard about the YouthEd/ CTU Bursary.
