ABOUT THE INVESTEC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

Investec is inviting students to apply for their Investec Tech Scholarship programme, for the 2024 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for Undergraduate and Postgraduate (up to Honours) studies towards a Technology-related qualification, specifically the following degrees:

  • Business Computing (BSc / BS)
  • Computer Engineering (BSc / BS)
  • Computer Science (BSc / BS / BBusSc)
  • Data Science (BBusSc)
  • Informatics (BCom)
  • Information Systems (BBusSc / BCom)
  • and all equivalent Technology and Engineering degrees

MORE ABOUT THE INVESTEC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – SELECTION & OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

The scholarship will be awarded to high-performing students who are driven and out-of-the-ordinary thinkers – financial criteria will not be considered.

Scholars will have access to Investec’s Tech Graduate Programme, as well as an opportunity to join Investec early on in their educational and career journey in technology. Scholars will be mentored throughout their studies, and have the chance to participate in Investec exposure events, annual hackathon, work readiness programmes and other exciting tech-related initiatives.
 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INVESTEC SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must be studying towards a Technology-related degree qualification, in one of the fields listed above
  • You must be entering 2nd year to Honours or final year, in 2024
  • You must be studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • You must be a top-performing student
  • Preference will be given to EE candidates and South African Citizens
