Schneider Electric is inviting students to apply for their Academic Merit Bursary Programme, for the 2027 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies, within following STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or Automation fields.

WHAT EXPENSES DOES THE SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BURSARY COVER?
The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, full university accommodation/ private accommodation up to a capped amount, meal allowance and textbook allocation.
Students will be assessed based on their academic merit, to ensure that academically talented students receive funding.

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC BURSARY?
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must be a South African citizen, by birth
- You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time towards an undergraduate qualification, within one of the fields of study listed above
- You must be entering your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2027
- You must be studying or have been accepted/ provisionally accepted to study at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa
- Current Matric students:
- you must have achieved a minimum average of 70% in Mathematics, in your Matric June 2026 results
- you must have achieved a minimum average of 70% in Physics, in your Matric June 2026 results
- you must have achieved a minimum average of 60% in English, in your Matric June 2026 results
- Current university students: you must have achieved a minimum average of 65% average
- You must have a proven financial need
