NOTES ABOUT APPLYING FOR THE IIE VEGA SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

  • The purpose of the motivational letter is so that the committee may assess applications beyond academic capabilities. Through this, the committee hopes to award the scholarship to students who are deserving, passionate, critical thinkers, challenge social norms, and are excellent problem solvers.
  • The motivation will be scored by each member of the committee, with an average score being reached. Factors that will improve your scoring are originality, self-expression, and your ability to convincingly communicate your story and ideas. This plays an important role as Vega’s main focus is to assess how learners think and collaborate towards a solution.
  • The motivational letter and supporting documents will make up 70% of your application’s overall score. The remaining 30% is dependent on your Grade 11/ Grade 12 results using the average of your top 4 subjects.
  • Be sure to answer every question in detail.
