ISACA is inviting students to apply for their Chapter Scholarship, for the 2026 academic year.

Scholarships will be awarded for undergraduate and postgraduate degree studies, within the following fields:

  • Computer Science (BSc)
  • Information Systems (BCom)
  • Any other technology related qualification

For the 2026 academic year, ISACA is expanding the program with over 170 scholarships, supported by ISACA chapters and corporate partners across over 20 countries, furthering diversity and career development in IT audit and cybersecurity.

MORE ABOUT THE ISACA SCHOLARSHIP BURSARY

6 scholarships will be awarded – 4 to undergraduate students and 2 to postgraduate students. Scholarships will be awarded to the value of US$1,000 each, to be paid directly to the awardee in July 2026 and must be used for 2026 study fees.

Funds must be used towards the following expenses: full-time enrollment or part-time enrollment, credit courses, registration tuition and other school fees, and school books, supplies, and essential technology.

Students will also receive a ISACA Career Building Bundle, which includes the following:

  • 1 year of ISACA student membership (to allow you access to career pathway and advancement events and webinars)
  • 1 ISACA course selected from the ITCA or CET certification (which will help you get an ISACA certificate that indicates a standard of skills to a prospective employer, after completing the course)
  • 1 ISACA Virtual Conference registration (to allow access to speakers who are renowned experts in their fields)
  • ISACA’s Mentorship Program (to allow access to certified digital trust professionals as mentors)
  • Resources to start an ISACA Student Group at your university or college (as applicable)
  • Access to additional ISACA and ISACA Foundation resources

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ISACA SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must be studying towards an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, within one of the fields of study listed above
  • You must be studying at an institute of higher education in South Africa (including TVET, University or University of Technology
  • You must sign up a free ISACA account
  • You must agree to attend at least 1 chapter event within 3 months of receiving the award
  • You must agree to communicate with the ISACA Foundation twice a year for 2 years regarding school and career trajectory after the scholarship

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE ISACA SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must follow these steps to apply:

Step 1: If you are a new applicant who has not previously applied for the ISACA scholarship, you must create a free ISACA account.

Enter “www.zabursaries.co.za” in the field asking how you heard about the ISACA Scholarship.

Step 2: Gather clear copies of the following supporting documentation along and submit them online with your completed online application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • ID document/ passport
  • Full academic record
  • Proof of tertiary institution enrolment in South Africa
