ABOUT THE AVEMEL GROUP BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED

The Avemel Group is inviting students to apply for their EmpowerED bursary scheme, for the 2026 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for studies within the following fields, that align with the groups core operations and long-term skills needs:

  • Finance and Administrative
  • Information Technology (IT)-related fields
  • Supply Chain and Logistics

This programme aims to support students not only with their education, but also by opening doors to real career opportunities.

By supporting students in these fields, Avemel aims to empower young people with access to education, practical career opportunities, and long-term professional development.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AVEMEL GROUP BURSARY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must be entering your 1st year of study, towards a qualification within one of the fields of study listed above
  • You must intend on studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • You must be willing to work at Avemel’s operations in Durban after graduation, for an equal duration of funding received
