About the Toyota Learnership
Toyota is offering a Maintenance Learnership for unemployed South African youth who want to gain hands-on experience in a production and technical maintenance environment. The programme takes place at the Prospecton manufacturing plant in Durban and gives learners a strong foundation in automotive manufacturing processes and technical workplace skills.

Training Modules / What You Will Learn
- Working effectively in a production team
- Safe use of hand tools
- Reading and understanding technical drawings
- Basic marking off and welding techniques
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Surface preparation and finishing
- Firefighting and workplace safety
- General production operations and dispatch
Learnership Benefits
Candidates who complete the programme will receive the following benefits:
- Qualification: NQF Level 3 upon completion
- Contract Type: Fixed-term learnership
- Stipend: Monthly stipend provided (amount not stated)
Minimum Requirements for the Learnership
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must have completed an N3 to N6 National Technical Certificate OR Matric / Technical Matric with:
- Mathematics and Physical Science or Engineering Science
- Electrical Trade Theory, Mechanical Trade Theory, or Motor Trade Theory
- Mechanical Drawing or Graphical Design
- You must have good communication and problem-solving skills
- You must have strong planning ability and eagerness to learn
- You must be adaptable and show perseverance
