WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE TRANSCEND BURSARY?

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

• You must be a South African citizen
• You must be studying towards an undergraduate degree qualification, within one of the fields of study listed above
• You must be entering your 2nd or 3rd year of study in 2027 (the bursary will NOT fund 1st year students)
• You must be currently enrolled and studying at a recognised and accredited public higher education institution in Gauteng
• You must have a strong academic record
• You must be committed to maintaining academic excellence
• You must have strong analytical skills
• You must have strong problem-solving skills
• You must have strong critical-thinking abilities
• You must have good communication skills
• You must have good interpersonal skills
• You must have good organisational skills
• You must be committed to completing your qualification
• You must be committed to developing your professional capabilities
• You must have genuine interest in financial markets, business, economics, technology or data-driven decision-making
• You must shown professionalism, accountability and a willingness to learn
• You must take initiative and a proactive approach to personal and professional development
• You must be willing to participate in bursary-related activities, including mentorship, career development initiatives and stakeholder engagements

Note: there is no application form to be completed for this bursary application – students need only submit the list of documents below to apply.

WHAT DOCUMENTS MUST I SUBMIT FOR THE TRANSCEND BURSARY?

Submit the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

• ID document (certified copy)
• Latest academic transcript or academic record
• Proof of current university registration
• Updated Curriculum Vitae
• Motivational letter outlining your interest in the bursary, your chosen field of study and why you should be considered
