Afrimat CM Eastern Cape (Pty) Ltd – Blue Rock Quarry, is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2027 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded to students residing in communities within the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality (Eastern Cape), for studies within the following fields:
- Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering)
- Finance
- Human Resources

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE AFRIMAT BURSARY?
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be from a community located within the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, in the Eastern Cape province
- You must have completed Matric
- You must be studying towards a National Diploma or Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Finance or Human Resources
- You must be currently registered or enrolled at a recognised and accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa
- You must have a strong academic record with a minimum average of 60% for the 2025 year of study
- You must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness
