This bursary will provide cover for tuition fees only.

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE BOTSHELO SAFETY BURSARY?

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be reside within a Rustenburg host community
  • You must be currently in Matric, in 2026
  • You must be attending a recognised host community school
  • You must intend on studying towards a Diploma, within one of the fields of study listed above
  • You must intend on studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa, in 2027
  • You must meet the admission requirements of the institution
  • You must have proven financial need
  • You must NOT be receiving any other full bursary or sponsorship, for the 2027 academic year

WHAT DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR THE BOTSHELO SAFETY BURSARY?

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your complete application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • Completed and signed application form
  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric latest results
  • School confirmation letter
  • Proof of tertiary application or acceptance
  • Proof of residence (not older than 3 months)
  • Motivational letter
  • Parent/ guardian certified ID and proof of household income or unemployment affidavit
  • Signed POPIA consent and declaration form
  • Parent/ guardian consent, if under 18

WHAT DOES BOTSHELO SAFETY DO?

Botshelo Safety is a South African health and safety solutions company based in Rustenburg, North West. Established in 2020, the company is a B-BBEE Level 1, majority black-woman-owned business focused on helping organisations create safer and more productive working environments.

The company specialises in the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the management of onsite PPE stores.
