WHAT FIELDS OF STUDY DOES THE AFRICAN ACADEMY BURSARY COVER?
African Academy is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2027 academic year.
Bursaries will be awarded for studies at African Academy (located in Boksburg East Industrial,
Gauteng), for studies towards Construction & Built Environment, Multi-disciplinary Draughting N4/N5 studies. (Applicants may read more about the AA Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice N4/N5 here).
The course is completed over 1 year, and consists of 3 trimesters.

WHAT EXPENSES DOES THE AFRICAN ACADEMY BURSARY COVER?
The bursary will provide full cover of fees for Face to Face learning.
After completing the course, students may receive assistance with being placed in the industry.

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE AFRICAN ACADEMY BURSARY?
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must have completed Matric
- You must have completed Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD) subjects in Matric (if you do not have these, you may join the AA bridging courses for a 3 months in duration)
- You must have completed Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy in Matric
- You must be interested in pursuing Multi-disciplinary Draughting N4/N5 studies at African Academy (in Boksburg East Industrial, Gauteng)
- You must be in financial need

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your online application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric certificate (certified copy)
- Any other qualification certificates
- Parents or guardians proof of household income

WHAT DOES THE AFRICAN ACADEMY DO?
